In May of 2017, I wrote on a climate study regarding the methane contribution of moose to climate change citing, “A study in Norway concluded that each moose in that country’s population of 120,000 of the antlered animal annually emits the same amount of methane as a car being driven 13,000 kilometers (8078 miles).” An article on this study appeared in the German newspaper, Spiegel, which is linked here.
As unique studies piggybacking on anthropogenic climate change become less, the researchers return to the scene of a crime and simply change scenarios. In this latest edition on the Norway moose, albeit over 5 years later, they study, not the release of methane, but rather the reduction of carbon dioxide confiscation or CO2 capture resulting from the eating of trees by moose.
The world’s population of moose is estimated at 2.5 million – Canada has the largest number estimated between 500,000 and a million. Russia has approximately 600,000 while Sweden has the next largest population between 300,000 and 400,000. The USA is third at 300,000 with 2/3rds of those mindlessly eating the trees, leaves, and, vegetation in Alaska.
Moose prefer to eat young deciduous trees in clear-cut logging operations, thereby leaving preferred spruce for timber companies. The researchers failed to mention that in many instances there are likely more trees now than ever in history – the reason is quite simple – at one point only winter snows stopped forest fires ignited during thunderstorms, while now people, equipment, expertise, and ingenuity can do the job.
The essential issue here is 40% of the world’s methane output is from nature - rainforests - and the reality is that methane can dissipate in as little as two days. The war on cattle and ruminant animals is pure environmentalist deceit.
All of these studies produce no therapeutic results for any condition, other than filling the coffers of universities and the wallets of activist scientists.
Thank you for your work in exposing the gigantic scam of anthropogenic climate change Ron !
