ChatGPT states, “In 2024, China started construction on 94.5 gigawatts (GW) of coal-fired power plants, marking the highest volume of new builds since 2015. This equates to approximately two new coal plants being constructed every week throughout the year. Additionally, 3.3 GW of previously suspended projects resumed construction during the same period.”
Most of China’s coal is mined domestically, while additional product arrives by train from Russia and by ship from Australia. Australian coal was banned by China for more than 2 years because of Australia’s 2020 appeal for an international investigation into the origins of COVID-19.
This episode of expanding Chinese CO2 emissions with coal and other fossil fuel increases, while the progressive political governments and activists in the developed nations cry for:
Revert exclusively to renewable energy sources;
Create carbon capture apparatus;
Stratospheric Aerosol Injection (SAI) into the atmosphere to block sunlight;
Expanding and restoring forests and other vegetation;
Expanding and using public transit and transportation;
Eating crickets and other insects instead of cattle and other animal husbandry products;
Instead of milk cows use plant-based products (I still haven’t discovered how to milk almonds);
Promoting a plant-based diet;
Reduce or eliminate internal combustion engine vehicles – electric vehicles only;
Reduction of airline flights;
Reduction of energy on appliances;
Improve management of farming to reduce frequent plowing and erosion, which releases stored carbon; and,
Educational pursuits – calculating personal environmental footprint.
Finally, and the big one, as the World Wildlife Fund states, “Vote for public officials who support ambitious climate change action and increasing sustainability, like increasing nature-based solutions, protecting nature and scaling up renewable energy.”
The “big one” is essentially the entire one because climate change, based on the carbon dioxide emissions of human activities, is an act of coercion based on the infusion of fear.
If the threat of human carbon dioxide emissions was as hazardous as claimed, every nation should band together and do everything possible to stop China, whose emissions are now almost the same all G7 countries combined.
Instead, if the climate policies as above are adopted, China will be the single largest economy and economic driver on earth.
Should that become the case, perhaps we’ll all be forced to communicate in Mandarin.
