Climate Emergency Declaration?
In the 14th and 15th centuries, people facing extended weather extremes would often blame and burn people, usually women, who were thought to be, or scrutinized as being, witches. Today because of the heatwave warming Europe, Congress is turning to Joe Biden.
As protracted cold, snow and ice plague parts of the earth, the legacy media remains silent, but any amount of heat brings out the bigoted bugles. And any amount of heat, and anywhere, may as well be in the progressive politician’s living room.
The climate campaigners of Congress are beseeching Biden to confront their heated fervor and establish more and more restrictions, limitations and adversity on the public they are assumed to serve. They need to do this because Joe Manchin, Senator of West Virginia wants to be a realist and pragmatist once again.
The fact is there are enough Democrats in the House to pass climate legislation and assuredly enough turncoat Republicans in the Senate to do the same, however, they understand the ramifications of November 2022.
In every survey of issues, climate change and environmental concerns ends up at, or near, the bottom of the heap. More injurious legislation laid on the taxpayer is certainly not something progressive politicians want, so as has been the case since the inauguration celebrations of 2020, send in Joe who actually thinks he’s in charge.
The left has been angered by a Supreme Court decision that ruled climate change laws, legislation and enforcement cannot be made or performed by agencies of the Executive Branch - this is the circumvention.
At a time when rationalists and those that understand engineering, electrical power and the need for national security through sufficient energies the progressive left is handing over the reins of reason to China. It was not more than three weeks ago that French President Emmanuel Macron was begging Biden for oil. It may be hot in Europe, but this winter, without liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia, the cold will be deadly.
The Associated Press writes about the potential for more human-induced climate change restrictions and declarations here.
