Climate Gullibility
Henry Ford is credited with saying, “Chop your own wood and it will warm you twice”. I have had the experience of his words – numerous times.
Many people in my generation have not experienced the exceptional struggles and efforts people of an earlier generation put into their labors just for existence, livelihoods, and traditional living. However, many in this current younger generation do not remember wood or coal stoves, outhouses, hand-pump wells, and hauling water into the house. Many would never know that houses did not come fully equipped with a thermostat for ease of heating or air conditioning. Many would not know why people, especially in the colder climes, had a honey pot in the bedroom – they would not likely know what a honey pot was. They might assume it was something A. A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh may possess.
Many in this generation would never entertain bathing in a galvanized tub after heating water on top of a cast iron wood stove. They have never observed people washing clothes with a washboard and a bucket. They will never witness the hardships, exertion, and toil of non-mechanized farming and ranching.
What they have witnessed is the elimination of all these physically challenging efforts because of energy and all of the advancements resulting from energy and those that knew how to harness it. What they know how to do now is be activists against traditional energies and followers of the so-called woke climate alarmists, well-funded scientists, and eco-politicians.
Virtue signaling attracts them in hordes. Gullibility in the public, but especially of the young, is often assumed and frequently discovered as a reality. Others simply, without even the slightest amount of investigation, side with their favorite politician, ideological persuasion, or party.
Former Chicago mayor and former Obama Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel declared, “Never let a crisis go to waste.” In Emanuel’s situation, this maxim encapsulates a progressive political opportunity and he first coined it during the 2008 financial crisis. Emanuel and his net worth of $15 million all from politics and political appointments would seem to be a challengeable and contestable financial crisis. Joe Biden made over $11 million in 2017 because they all take significant advantage of high-profile political careers – yet he claims to be a man of the common folk while endorsing and promoting the restrictive and destructive actions of obstructing traditional energies.
Robert Kiyosaki an American businessman and author has said, “History reminds us that dictators and despots arise during times of severe crisis.” Thus, if one can merely fabricate or invent a counterfeit crisis, get people, especially the youth, to believe in it, and then claim to have the cure, it is certain to come with riches, power, and authority.
The crisis that has been created of course is that everything bad and potentially catastrophic has been created by everything that has been good and most favorable for all of humanity. The crisis is a theoretical change in climate caused by the hand of humans in advancing their lives through the availability of life-changing energies. Those energy types they now deem to remove are based on an unproven theory, unverified supposition, and prejudiced opinion.
Conclusively as I have written for over the past 20 years the theory of Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming (CAGW), many times re-christened to a more fearful name, ending up now as the “climate emergency”, is a tale of unproven, untested deception merely for the purposes of one-sided political advancement and not in a beneficial manner.
The climate alarmists baptize alternative energies as suitable substitutes, but again we prove that this is not possible. Their plan accepts gargantuan land grabs, huge mining operations having a finite life, eradication of animal habitat, and the mass murder of birds and animals by the millions.
Each and every copious climate change prophecy has never come true. The events of weather falsely blamed on climate change are all easily explained away as a product of nature. History shows us that there is nothing in today’s climate that can be construed as catastrophic or disastrous. Temperatures have risen slightly since the end of the Little Ice Age in the mid-1800s. Ocean levels have risen since the end of that same period but it has been a small constant increase. Both of these are not inconsistent with expectations or a historical outlook.
Manmade carbon dioxide emissions in comparison to that of nature, are never identified or segregated because people would come to realize just how insignificant these really are. Everyone knows that the only compromise between climate change proponents and contrarians is nuclear energy – a safe, extremely long-term alternative, that will last thousands of years, but the activist don’t want it – why? Because it ends the conflict and the political battle that is waged and pursued through manmade climate change.
One day, anthropogenic climate change will prove to be the single biggest political hoax ever played upon the general public. Climate change is leftist folly filled with fantasy and fallacy and absent of logic and rationality. Eco-politicians do not care for people, they care for votes; they care for power.
