Climate Models on the Runway
On July 26, 2022, I published an article entitled “Whether the Weather” with the subtitle, “The Big Weather Station Failure”. Linked to the article was a report called, “Corrupted Climate Stations.” This report covered the survey and scrutiny of weather stations throughout the United States. Photographs of these weather stations were taken and descriptions of the surrounding area documented.
Weather stations were assessed for compliance with standards set by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). It was important to note if the location of any stations had heat-producing, heat-retention, or heat-trapping mechanisms within close range that could possibly affect or influence temperature records.
It was determined that 96% of weather stations failed to meet NOAA criteria.
In a Climate Change Roundtable video, Anthony Watts, leader of this study addresses the survey’s methodology and discusses the issues discovered. With so many weather stations, which are the data contributors to the temperature graphs, being noncompliant, it is no wonder that opposition science constantly testifies that the climate models continually run hot. Further, I would suggest that other countries investigate their weather stations for heat anomalies and compliance failures.
This same weather station survey, examination, and analysis were conducted in 2007 and 2010 and the results were fundamentally the same, thus it would appear that either the advocate scientists are not interested in weather station compliance or purposely let it slide to obtain the results they crave.
When relying solely on the legacy media to report the news, a belief in anthropogenic climate change is easy to accept, but once some thorough research is done, that conviction needs to disappear. I recently read a true statement about the news; the reason newspapers are only half the size is that they only tell one side of the story.
In the case of climate change, truer words have never been written.
