Environmental Irony
At these, eschatological, sky-is-falling times, there appears an ‘irony of ironies’. In Europe, solar panel manufacturers can no longer afford to build them because of the skyrocketing price of energy produced by renewable energies such as solar panels.
Naturally, one would think that this might be a sign from the heavens suggesting a group reassessment, reconsideration, or reevaluation, but one would undoubtedly be wrong and assuredly politically amiss. The opportune answer for Europe’s eco-politicians will likely be to import them from China where they are built using energy from fossil fuels, primarily coal. China is, after all, the world’s largest producer of solar panels – however, prior to export, their internal, communist disclaimer would likely read, “not for domestic consumption.”
I link a related story from Australia’s Jo Nova, a science presenter, writer, and speaker.
Michael Bloomberg just threw $85 million into a campaign to terminate petrochemical manufacturing in the United States. Logically, modern society cannot do without this type of oil-based production. Again, the indispensable need will dictate these products come from China.
This is the same pompous Bloomberg who, in demeaning all farmers said, “I could teach anybody — even people in this room, no offense intended — to be a farmer. It’s a process: you dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn.” He later contrasts the brilliance of those working in the “information economy” over that of farmers. Bloomberg’s mindset reminds me of a manic medical condition once diagnosed as “assholeary”.
The green politicians who have this illogical need to conceal any requirements from oil, gas, and coal take no lessons from Europe. They merely, almost unconsciously, follow and adhere to making the same mistakes as Europe and somehow hope for a different result.
As more and more wind turbines and solar panels dot the eastern landscapes, it will be a testament to stupidity when they all crumble and collapse in hurricanes like that of Ian or nationally, with the more than 1,200 tornados that annually strike in the United States And again, in an irony of ironies, the green activists claim these weather disasters will only increase.
Under the guidance and direction of the eco-politicians and of course tax-payer monies and votes, they claim these storms will decrease, or as Obama said in his acceptance speech of the Democrat nomination for President, “This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.” However, by the time these politicians weaken the economies of North America and Europe to near bankruptcy, China and India will omit as much carbon dioxide as the entire world does now.
