I link an article from “The Conversation” entitled, “How should we teach climate change in schools? It starts with ‘turbo charging’ teacher education.” The story begins with an accusation I have been making for years. The case for action on climate change no longer needs to be laid out.” Despite mountains of evidence to the contrary, politically subsidized science claims anthropogenic climate change is true, period, and all questions to the contrary are senseless.
Since climate change is a contentious claim of the progressive left, it falls under the progressive decree I write about in my article, “Progressivism - The Inversion of Society” which states, “Since progressivism is admittedly a political movement, and certainly not everyone is persuaded or buying in, it endeavors to ram its goals and objectives through to mandates by way of authoritarianism, cloaked as moral righteousness.” In other words, no need to think, we shove it down your throat and you, for your own good, merely submit.
The second issue from this article comes from the paragraph which reads, “Teaching climate change in schools raises basic and potentially divisive questions about the purpose of education and the nature of childhood. We are supposed to teach children about their world. But what if in doing so, we scare them with facts about climate change?”, followed by a sentence in the next paragraph that reads, “Many children and teenagers are stressed and anxious due to their growing awareness of climate change.”
While children assuredly contract the behavioral health hazards associated with eco-anxiety, eco-distress, or climate anxiety, it is not from a physical experience with any climate but the promotion, instruction, and legacy media endorsement of the theory. And, that according to the activists must not only continue, but be more aggressive and hard-hitting at all levels of schooling, thus teachers need to be turbo-charged, an author’s descriptiveness for greater assertiveness and uncompromising marketing of climate change. If they don’t get you with the leaders in this generation, they certainly will with the next.
Some children will simply protest, some will go into deep depression or worse, while others assuredly will turn to drugs and other vices of escape away from the fabricated tales disseminated by the news and other prejudicial views. Eco-politicians and their ilk, as well as the media, thrives on depressing news that they constantly cloak under the climate change umbrella. They could talk about human genius and the ability for adaptation, positive and provable mitigation, like nuclear energy, and other uplifting and inspiring solutions, but this does not promote the political cause - the sacrifice of children, for many, does not seem overly disconcerting.
The linked story is all about climate indoctrination and training teachers and professors to do the dirty work. The first task of the climate promotor is to fully indoctrinate the indoctrinator. Most instructors will only learn the prejudicial science they are trained with and the materials provided. The green politicians, their convoy of like-minded bureaucrats, and activist scientists know that fear-based propaganda and misinformation are extraordinarily effective. History has taught us that in spades.
Scary stuff of nightmares! Poor kids today have a lot to unravel as they move forward in reality! I'm hoping that writers/authors like yourself will keep pushing back on misinformation! Thanks!
