Midweek short - Where's the Beef?
According to some scientists, July 3rd was the hottest day ever recorded on earth, until July 4th assaulted the day previous by 0.17°C (0.3°F). In many cases the headlines read simply, “hottest days ever” – as it does in the content of this linked story. The temperatures are recorded using satellite data as well as computer simulations. In other words, computer models, the activist scientists’ climate answer to absolutely everything we cannot see, test, or experiment with.
However, when one reads the story, it is clear that, even if true, the word ‘ever’ or words ‘ever recorded’ translates only to temperatures after 1979. Data from satellites was not available until the late 70s. It is clear that the 1930s were much warmer than today as evidenced by the following graph.
If we were in the 1930s today, with the current propagandized political mindset, we would be getting tortured under unprecedented climate change. Heatwaves, which are simply short-term weather, currently in both the USA and Europe and other parts of the world have now become a sure sign of anthropogenic climate change. Yet let’s look at the Annual Heat Wave Index as below:
The story endeavors to suggest that the current temperatures are unprecedented for 125,000 years. The graph immediately below, which is uncontested, proves the erroneousness of that statement.
Global temperatures have been relatively stable if not decreased a little. The graph below attests to that:
The story talks about the great increase in wildfires, yet, globally the chart below tells a very different story - wildfires are down 25%. Furthermore, they are discovering, especially in Canada, that the ignition point of these fires is a crazed environmental arsonist with a box of matches.
The story talks about deaths resulting from extreme heat. The following graph shows contrasting data from the past from100 years>
One will note that in their claims of catastrophe, no peer-reviewed data is actually shown. While scientists allude to the natural cyclical heating weather of El Niño, they are sure to mention the greater influence of the “climate crisis”.
Another point is that apparently hottest days are now measured in 10ths of a single degree. I wonder if they had this precision in instrumentation back in the days of the earlier 1900s or 125,000 years ago.
It is no wonder, the youth and the young are heading to therapist’s offices in droves afflicted and conflicted with the mental disorder of eco-anxiety. Well-funded, politically-motivated scientists have an agenda that shows little concern in this matter. The legacy media is just as complicit.
