There is a distinct political predisposition by progressives for the support, endorsement, and marketing of anthropogenic global warming, which they then allege will trigger catastrophic climate change.
These are the same progressives that advance such intangible, ethereal issues as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Multicultural Leadership Development Programs (MLDP is DEI for Business Leadership), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Gemini AI (Google) represents that “Progressive issues today encompass a wide range of concerns, including social justice, economic equality, environmental protection, and democratic reform, income inequality, reproductive rights, immigration reform, racial justice, and dismantling structural racism”. Gemini continues that, “Progressives strongly advocate for addressing climate change, promoting renewable energy, and protecting natural resources.”
Most issues are euphemistically labeled since the concern could be considered grim, callous, or very much conflicting with the opinion of many voters – for example, reproductive rights sounds much more tranquil and mild than abortion. These issues are intentionally crafted to make people feel an uncomfortable sense of guilt – descent and disagreement deserve cancel culture or social and political ostracization.
Yet, the six (6) major issues in the American 2024 general election were:
Economy
Inflation
Immigration
Healthcare
Foreign Policy
Violent Crime
These are substantive issues and concerns that affect the average voter. Climate change rarely makes any list, or it’s extremely low on any accounting record.
All of these bona fide issues, with appropriate and rational policies, regulations and enforcement, are resolvable. The progressive issues, for the most part, are irresolvable, except for making utopian-sounding talking points for leftist politicians and their adoring adherents.
According to Canada’s Léger market research company, in the Canadian elections of April 28th, the major issues were as follows:
With the exception of the first issue and climate change (2nd last), the remaining ones were genuine concerns. The first issue was created out of patriotic emotionalism and was advanced intensely by the Liberal Party of Canada. Many claim it was the deciding electoral factor because before its jousting by the Liberals, the Conservatives had a decisive edge in polling. As I state in my article, Logic versus Emotion, “In nearly all studies, it is shown that 90% of the average person’s decision-making is based on emotional thought.
The Canadian poll above was gleaned from an article written by Canadian clinical psychologist, author, and political commentator, Dr. Jordan Peterson, in this linked article. In the article, Peterson alleges that the elected Prime Minister Mark Carney is an obsessed climate change advocate and Net Zero fanatic and Carney’s impending policies will ensure a disastrous economic downfall for Canada.
Canada is heavily reliant on the primary industries of agriculture, forestry, fishing, mining, as well as the secondary and tertiary commerce that contribute to them. The encroachment of fallacious climate change policies and abstract progressive issues will do nothing but harm.
Polievre would have been a bad choice, just as Trump is in your U.S. of A. Ron. I don't know how you can make any sense of all of his fascist decisions! We'll see where all this goes in the next coming months!
