Psychological Cruelty
Mental Hypochondria or hypochondriasis is a mental health disorder or illness in which an individual becomes excessively alarmed and often terrified about any physical or psychological symptoms they detect.
Those that actually experience high psychological distress from anthropogenic climate change, often referred to as eco-anxiety or climate despair would have undiagnosed symptoms resulting from their belief or conviction in fictional or falsified alarmism. This is obvious, but no one ever says it.
As Dr. John Christy, a climatologist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville says, “Here we have a science that’s so dominated by personalities that claim the science is settled, yet when you walk up to them and say prove it, they can’t”. No one, and not a single study of any kind or structure, has ever proved that anthropogenic climate change is a genuine matter or scientific event, and further, that a rise in temperatures, in due course, ends in catastrophe or earthly disaster.
The linked article claims, “Young people in Australia are telling us that the threat of climate change and the increasing regularity and severity of extreme weather is harming their mental health and wellbeing.” As a realist or pragmatist knows the weather is at times serene, at times a little stormy and in the very lesser of times extreme. It has been this way forever unless, of course, one is a climate alarmist who declares the latter events as unprecedented, unrivaled, extraordinary, and the exclusive fault of man.
It is this that induces the condition of eco-anxiety as well as climate indoctrination through false teachings full of persuasion and propagandism rather than facts, statistics, and truthful detail. The article also claims that this condition is exacerbated for those who identified as female or gender diverse, poor, indigenous, or those living in more remote areas. Well of course it is, simply by the process of psychological stresses being “piled on”. Except, they do not explain this but rather influence the reader to accept that climate skeptics are more cold-blooded and are bigoted by the issue of gender fluidity as well as being racist and misogynist.
These actions of inducing psychological cruelty by maintaining a lie or at minimum an unproven and unlikely theory, are akin to the malice of youth in the absolute worst way. While some might say, why do the young believe it, there are a number of reasons:
Peer pressure – to not believe or at least pretend to would be a wholesale transgression against the majority in the age group;
The majority of instructors in all levels of academia teach anthropogenic climate change as purely a given;
Youth is not interested or motivated to do research beyond homework– emotions and feelings are their preeminent learning tools;
Each and every one of them feels that they will, one day, save the world; and,
To not believe is actually hard while the path of least resistance is the bandwagon belief.
This again, as I have written about many times shows that the pursuit of power for many is supreme, even over the wellbeing of people. Further, these progressives assume that climate assimilation will eventually create a leftist voter.
As I read to the bottom of the linked page, I saw a ‘tease’ for another article from the same source entitled, “The rising cost of living and its impact on families”. While it went into inflation, the general cost of living, and homelessness, it does not mention the sky-rocketing price of gasoline or the immeasurable number of costly, draconian, mandates, policies, and regulations resulting from a government’s need to rummage around the climate change agenda looking for increased revenues and laying all of them at the footstep of the taxpayer.
