Replaying the Tunes of Thunberg

Some of us thought Greta Thunberg was now passé with the adult climate change crowd, and relegated to the status of preeminent cheerleader for the youngsters – not so fast.

Greta Thunberg travels the globe crying, “How dare you” and “we are in a mass extinction as well as “you have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words. And yet I'm one of the lucky ones. People are suffering. People are dying”. Thunberg’s mother said, “She can see carbon dioxide with the naked eye. She sees how it flows out of chimneys and changes the atmosphere in a landfill.”

Thunberg and a group of young activists called Aurora, have received approval to pursue a class action lawsuit against the Swedish state for “insufficient climate policy”. The linked article states, “In the case, demands have been made for the district court to determine that the state has an obligation to take certain specifies measures to limit climate change.” The young plaintiffs say Sweden needs to cut its carbon dioxide emissions by 6.5 to 9.4 million tonnes per year.

When science cannot even corroborate CO2 and temperature rise or vice versa, this is truly an absurdity, especially when propagandized children are its scientifically illiterate suitors.

Not to be outdone, and to get recognition for progressive virtue signaling, the University of Helsinki in Finland is about to award Thunberg with an honorary doctorate. Since anthropogenic climate change has been long considered a religion with Mother Gaia sitting on the sectarian throne, appropriately, Thunberg is to receive the doctorate from the University’s Faculty of Theology.

These actions are all simply callous, exploitive, and unscrupulous motivations used by uncaring adult leftists in pursuit of permanent power. One needs only look at the graph below to see how Thunberg’s proverb “People are suffering. People are dying” holds up.
