The linked article from the French news agency, Agence France-Presse, and included in Barrons’ news, entitled, “Threat Multiplier': How Climate Change Affects Health”, is fully an exercise in fear-mongering prophecy. The commentary does not cite specifics or data in a single, case, rather using the vernacular of a fortuneteller in foreseeing the ill effects of their highly-favored hypothesis.
The story begins with a photograph inaccurately and prejudicially connected to the story. Air pollution, as shown in the photo is particulate matter and other air-born substances, but is external to the carbon dioxide emissions that the deafening bullhorns claim as causing climate change. Smog over larger cities, especially in the winter is legitimate pollution and is a common occurrence during calm or non-windy days.
It matters not that an increase in weather-related phenomena is false, just saying so is acceptable since it corresponds to thousands of other news stories that claim the same lie. It further conforms to progressive political hyperbole and their accomplices in the varying forms of the legacy media.
Advocate scientists continuously manufacture frightening scenarios that “may” be caused by climate change – the use of words like could, may, maybe, and perhaps are used routinely although it is t expected that the alarmed reader will translate these to the certainty of “will”.
That is why the late Dr. Stephen Schneider, Professor of Environmental Biology and Global Change at Stanford University and a lead author with the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) once quipped, “We need to get some broad-based support, to capture the public’s imagination. That, of course, means getting loads of media coverage. So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we might have. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest.”
However, constant amplification, exaggeration, and magnification of climate change have created the ability for scientists to perform research studies on every conceivable situation, condition, and scheme using the hypothesis as an absolute or given. As long as that study or research is conducted with climate change as a detrimental reality, funding is handed out like Halloween candy – much of it from taxpayer coffers.
Considering anthropogenic climate change has no history or basis of fact, imagination, creativity, and fantasy can be a researcher’s most useful gift. Yet, you will note that despite the deficiency of past events, every study establishes human-induced climate change as a horrific event. Such was certainly not the case during the Medieval Warm Period (950 AD to 1250 AD) when temperatures were much warmer than today and no large volumes of human-generated CO2 emissions were present.
This, of course, is the reason, advocate scientists, politicians, and bureaucrats want the Medieval Warm Period concealed – they treasured Michael Mann’s hockey stick temperature graph which deceptively tried to do this, but failed miserably.
Advocacy of anthropogenic climate change has the ability to alarm people and what makes it the perfect instrument of deception is that it is invisible and totally remote from discernible or observable verification. It, like the linked report, is one big pot of science fiction.
Great research Ron. These articles are incredibly depressing if you don't have
a wee bit of skepticism for such trashy research.!
