See Red When You C40
When we reflect on progressive political campaigns relative to anthropogenic climate, and the participating politicians, we often think of federal or global campaigners, but worse yet may be a coalition of city mayors, under the banner C40.
On their website, C40 describes themselves as “. . . a global network of nearly 100 mayors of the world’s leading cities that are united in action to confront the climate crisis.” And, one knows it gets worse when they state, “C40 is committed to being an equitable, diverse and inclusive organization”.
The C40 refers to the organization's second name numbering a total of 40 Cities. The original formation, with half as many participants, was called C20 – it has now grown to 96 cities, but maintains the C-40 moniker.
The alliance seems closely linked to the climate change policies and strategies of the World Economic Forum in that the people affected by the legislated confiscation of goods, services, and conveniences will be happy.
The following image, from the C40 website, is their desire for control and authority:
Highlights or low lights of the C40 eco-fascist commandments:
cut new clothing purchases by 2050 by 66%
cut meat and all dairy products by 60%. In another graph, the ambitious target is to totally eliminate meat and dairy by 2050
reduce flights by 55%. Their ambitious target is one single short-haul flight every 3 years per person
they are mayors and not engineers, and cannot fix potholes, maintain clean parks or a stable police force, yet they demand improved construction materials by 44%
they demand reducing car ownership by 39% - they want everyone to take public transit thereby, in places like New York, you could ride the subway and get murdered
they demand, again not being technical engineers, that IT equipment and other appliances last 33% longer.
These demands will not only affect the consumer, but significantly demolish the economy. The eradication of many jobs will be enormous. These draconian, Marxist measures will affect the entire country, not just the larger cities.
The USA and Canadian cities currently participating in this despotic organization:
United States:
Austin, Texas
Boston, Massachusetts
Chicago, Illinois
Houston, Texas
Los Angeles, California
Miami, Florida
New Orleans, Louisiana
New York City, New York
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Phoenix, Arizona
Portland, Oregon
San Francisco, California
Seattle, Washington
Washington, DC
Canadian Cities:
Montreal, Quebec
Toronto, Ontario
Vancouver, British Columbia
It is always amazing, and at the same time very distressing, to watch people grabbing for power, control, and domination through a disproven, injudicious theory. They use persuasive language and carefully worded narratives pretending to nurture and rescue the world’s citizens while destroying individualism and freedom.
I believe many large city mayors suffer from a disease known as the Napoleonic complex, and the potential influence of this organization, as bad as it can be, is their strategy for aggrandizing their powers.
