Of all core academic curriculums, mathematics is truly the most objective, rational, solid, and sound discipline. Applied correctly, it does not concede or accept human fault and flaw unless you are of course with the Ethnic Studies Advisory Committee under the Public Schools Superintendent of Seattle where mathematics is considered racist and oppressive.
In a paper by Alexander Stahel, a Swiss-based commodities expert, he uses mathematics to prove that the European withdrawal from gas and oil energies as well as nuclear power leads and leaves them in a crisis. He further claims that the lack of investment in both of these energies greatly elevates this dangerous dilemma.
Interestingly, Stahel begins the second paragraph of his paper with the phrase, “The grid is built on physics, not ideology”. In describing the incredible complexity of the European grid, which effectively and simultaneously serves 41 countries, you can understand the aforementioned statement.
The second part of the statement, relative to ideology, is a description of delusional political posturing. In this manner, Stahel begins his reasoning with the statement, “Frequency deviations – incidents – happen for many reasons, but have become more common as the share of wind and solar on the grid has increased.” In other words, the ideology of the eco-politicians is putting the entire grid into jeopardy and the impacts are increasing year by year. The European grid simply cannot supply and sustain enough power to meet the demands of its 520 million customers.
Many countries rely on electricity exports from the nuclear plants of Germany and France, but alas, ideology is shutting them down – even the ideology of no carbon dioxide emissions from nuclear power can keep these plants going. Stahel also writes on the electrical history and hazards of many European nations.
He then asserts, “The major strategic issue that threatens the grid is that a handful of people in positions of power have committed us to a dramatic reduction of our carbon dioxide emissions”. So, while the grid is facing significant issues right now, the political or ideological reductions of more carbon dioxide, to 1990s levels, will assuredly create a dire catastrophe.
All of the applied mathematics tells us of this impending disaster and the fallacy of climate change continues to drive society over the edge of a cliff that is totally preventable. It would appear that the greatest danger of climate change is that the political fallacy will cause irreparable damage to the electrical grid, essentially indicating that millions of people will perish.
With Putin’s hand on the lever providing most of Europe with gas and oil, this just adds exponentially to their energy crisis. This likely crisis is all for political power and control and is performed through the marketing of fear and alarmism. While the emergency is not as dire in the United States or Canada, the deteriorating energy policies of progressive politicians are of monumental concern.
As news of the explosions and leaks at the Nord Stream pipelines develops we will have to ascertain where this leaves Europe.
