Ruth Grant, a Professor of Political Science at Duke University once quipped, “Self-effacing deception is compatible with integrity, while hypocrisy is a sure sign of corruption”. I say, in conjunction with Professor Grant, ”The assured method to losing credibility is not to practice what is preached”.
The climate change advocates are led down the fictitious path of ‘questionless’ global annihilation and demise by the United Nations (UN). The UN was originally created after World War II to prevent future wars and global conflicts – this is the primary responsibility of the UN’s Security Council. The permanent members of the council are China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States while ten member nations are elected on a regional basis for a term of two years. However, with one veto, all veto powers of the permanent Security Council members the entire organization is essentially useless.
However, the United Nations as a global organization has colossal powers to move climate change along the currents, rapids, and cascades of the mainstream. The UN member organizations involved include:
The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC);
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC);
United Nations Conference on Trade and Development;
UN Secretary General’s Climate Summit;
UN’s World Health Organization (WHO); and,
UN Population Fund.
Every November the UNFCCC hosts a COP (Conference of Parties) climate change conference. This year’s edition, the 27th, was held in the resort Egyptian City of Sharm El-Sheikh, a significant location of tourism for the nation located on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula. Approximately 35,000 to 40,000 attend each conference. The attendees are led by world leaders, numerous United Nations personnel, and VIP bureaucrats from every nation around the globe. The Daily Caller linked story discusses a dinner meal that is served to these people and the prices of each item.
Despite climate change advocates constantly yelling about the need for a vegan diet since livestock is significantly responsible for climate change, one can clearly see by the article the hypocrisy in their menu. See this linked story as just one example of the UN pushing vegan and vegetarian diets.
It seems VIP dinners cost around $100 when adding in soups, salads, or other starters. The $100 Angus beef medallion without sides is the most expensive. Naturally, this matters not to the eminent delegates that are there at taxpayer expense. On the UN COP27 official website, “The organizers vowed to make the conference a sustainable and carbon-neutral event to demonstrate their “ambitious aspiration” towards climate action.” Of course, just like the World Economic Forum conferences, where climate change is always a major talking point, the surrounding airports are filled to capacity with private jets.
A glaring fact regarding all these countless meetings, grandiose conferences, and insanely-expensive climate soirees, in the almost 35 years since climate change through global warming was first invented, the amount of carbon dioxide has increased yearly at about the exact same rate. Irrespective of all the carbon taxes, climate policy modifications, and efforts to transform fossil-fueled energies to renewables, the CO2 levels continue to elevate. And furthermore, storms of every type have not increased nor have their intensities. Floods, droughts, and wildfires are as they have always been while sea level rise has not increased in rate since the end of the Little Ice Age in the mid-1800s. Does this paint a picture?
It seems no matter where one turns, climate change is proving to be a true pig bath or hogwash as some might say.
I read daily of climate change caused by humans, but in every day life here I rarely hear it mentioned and if it is , the conversation seems to be very short lived.
Keep up the great work Ron. I admire your dedication to bringing truth to the forefront, and your daily newsletter has become an essential part of starting my every day on a positive note.
