Because I long ago discovered my tastes are relatively uncomplicated and I feel no need to feign refinement or any air of discriminating culture, I do not appreciate or comprehend the value of impressionist paintings from artists like Claude Monet, Edgar Degas or Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
